Reciprocal Benefits to SAIT Members

Reciprocal benefits include 50% annual member discount for SAIT members joining the respective participating professional body, as well as member rates for CPD.

SAIT members in good standing has reciprocal benefits of the following international tax professional bodies: 
Reciprocal benefits are limited to SAIT members on secondment or other fixed term assignment. The SAIT member participating in this arrangement will be placed on the mailing lists of the ‘visiting’ Institute and the SAIT member will receive the benefits available to the visiting Institute’s membership. The member will also be entitled to any discounts granted on products/services provided on a fee-paying basis to ‘visiting’ Institute members. 
The eligible member will also be invited to an orientation meeting with representatives of the ‘visiting’ Institute which will cover such matters as; the tax system, the structure of the Revenue authority, the profile of the tax profession, the services provided by the Institute and networking suggestions.






Section 240A of the Tax Administration Act, 2011 (as amended) requires that all tax practitioners register with a recognized controlling body before 1 July 2013. It is a criminal offense to not register with both a recognized controlling body and SARS.
