Overview:

The purpose of the workshop is to provide delegates with practical knowledge of the South African transfer pricing and thin capitalization provisions, incorporating illustrative case studies. The course material is designed to be interactive and to deal with practical examples raised during the workshop as far as possible within the timeframe.

  • High level discussion of transfer pricing developments in the rest of Africa

Presenter:

Nico Kruger B. Com (Law) LLB, H. Dip (Tax), H. Dip (International Tax)

Nico is an Associate Director of the International Tax & Transfer Pricing Services at Grant Thornton Advisory Services, dealing with all corporate cross-border related matters, including international tax structuring, transfer pricing, exchange control and customs & excise.

He participated as an integral part of the BDO Project Africa team, which has established a comprehensive Africa network during the past four years and is actively involved in providing a one shop advisory and compliance support service to clients investing and restructuring into Africa. Furthermore he coordinated the drafting of the Namibian Transfer Pricing Practice Note - 1st Draft. Author of various transfer pricing articles, including "Harmonization of Transfer Pricing and Customs Valuation from a South African Perspective, published by SAICA”.  Nico specializes in providing advice and opinions on all forms of cross border structuring and assisting multinationals with the planning and implementation of inbound and outbound investment structuring.
