Rates and Monetary Amounts and Amendment of Revenue Laws Act (13 of 2012) commenced on 9 October 2012 (unless otherwise indicated) as published in GN 828 in GG 35775.

The Act fixes the rates of normal tax and amends rates and monetary amounts contained in the Income Tax Act and amends rates in Schedule 1 of the Customs and Excise Act.

WHY REGISTER WITH SAIT?

Section 240A of the Tax Administration Act, 2011 (as amended) requires that all tax practitioners register with a recognized controlling body before 1 July 2013. It is a criminal offense to not register with both a recognized controlling body and SARS.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS TO REGISTER
