Changes to the current version of e@syFile™ Employer became effective on 11 February 2013. The updated e@syFile™ Employer version 6.2.1 is available and can be accessed by:
Visiting the SARS eFiling website www.sarsefiling.co.za and downloading version 6.2.1 of e@syFile™ Employer. You will automatically be prompted to update when accessing e@syFile™ Employer.
Calling the SARS Contact Centre on 0800 00 SARS (7277) or visiting your nearest branch to place your order for your e@syFile™ Employer CD.
The updated e@syFile™ Employer software includes the following enhancements:
A version blocker, which requires all users to upgrade to the latest version which is version 6.2.1. Any information submitted to the South African Revenue Service (SARS) using a previous version of e@syFile™ Employer, will not be accepted until you have upgraded to the latest version 6.2.1.
The Third Party Appointment (AA88) function has been enhanced and assists users to easily receive, manage and pay your third party appointments to SARS.
Please note: The updated e@syFile™ Employer version 6.2.1 for Macintosh will be available at a later date.
Note: It is important to always backup the current Employees' Tax (PAYE) information on your computer prior to updating the e@syFile™ Employer software or installing a new version as the installation may delete the current information.
Section 240A of the Tax Administration Act, 2011 (as amended) requires that all tax practitioners register with a recognized controlling body before 1 July 2013. It is a criminal offense to not register with both a recognized controlling body and SARS.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS TO REGISTER
