Tariff amendments: Schedule 1 to increase the general rate of customs duty on taps and mixers

Government Notice R.269 were published on 12 April 2013 to amend Part 1 of Schedule No. 1 to substitute subheading 8481.80.79 to increase the general rate of customs duty on taps and mixers from 15% to the GATT bound rate of 20%.

WHY REGISTER WITH SAIT?

Section 240A of the Tax Administration Act, 2011 (as amended) requires that all tax practitioners register with a recognized controlling body before 1 July 2013. It is a criminal offense to not register with both a recognized controlling body and SARS.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS TO REGISTER
