The SAIT has officially moved to the
Jacaranda-clad administrative capital of South Africa. The SAIT head office team
settled into their new office based in the Riverwalk Office Park on the Corner
of Garsfontein and Matroosberg Street in Pretoria at the end of May.
All administrative functions, including
registrations and membership enquiries, will continue to be dealt with by the
Pretoria office which houses the office of the executive; the membership
department; the CPD and events department; finance department and tax technical
The SAIT has also expanded to include a
Cape Town office which is located on the second floor of Convention Tower on
the corner of Heerengracht and Coen Steytler Street. The Cape Town office is
the home of SAIT’s TaxTalk magazine, the marketing department and SAIT’s newly
launched Tax Executive Suit.

Section 240A of the Tax Administration Act, 2011 (as amended) requires that all tax practitioners register with a recognized controlling body before 1 July 2013. It is a criminal offense to not register with both a recognized controlling body and SARS.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS TO REGISTER
