SARS will be holding two informal focus group discussions on 6 February 2014 from 17h00 till 18h00 at the SAIT offices in Pretoria. The aim of these focus group discussions will be to establish what tax practitioners think of SARS and its services. The discussions will be informal and your comments will never be attributed to you, so you can feel free to ‘tell it like it is.’

Should you be interested in being part of these discussions and having your views heard directly by SARS, please send Sharon Smulders an email (ssmulders@thesait.org.za) entitled SARS SERVICES as soon as possible.

WHY REGISTER WITH SAIT?

Section 240A of the Tax Administration Act, 2011 (as amended) requires that all tax practitioners register with a recognized controlling body before 1 July 2013. It is a criminal offense to not register with both a recognized controlling body and SARS.
