SAIT is currently assisting various bodies such
as the Impact Trust and the Office of the Presidency with research projects
focusing on SME taxation and incentives. SAIT will be keeping you updated on
the various surveys and focus groups that will be held shortly to establish
your views on improving the design of the tax system to facilitate the growth
of SMES in South Africa.
SAIT is also in negotiations with IBFD to bring
focused training and research to our members on international tax issues.
Section 240A of the Tax Administration Act, 2011 (as amended) requires that all tax practitioners register with a recognized controlling body before 1 July 2013. It is a criminal offense to not register with both a recognized controlling body and SARS.
