Invitation to Tax Statistics Workshop

The 2013 Tax Statistics Publication was officially released by SARS and National Treasury on 21 October 2013. This edition, as well as previous editions of the Tax Statistics publication, is available on this page.

In order to assess the requirements of both current and potential users of this publication, SARS would like to engage with a wide range of researchers, economists and analysts.  Planned additions for inclusion into the next edition of Tax Statistics will also be shared and discussed during this engagement.

You are therefore kindly invited to attend a Tax Statistics Workshop:

WHY REGISTER WITH SAIT?

Section 240A of the Tax Administration Act, 2011 (as amended) requires that all tax practitioners register with a recognized controlling body before 1 July 2013. It is a criminal offense to not register with both a recognized controlling body and SARS.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS TO REGISTER

The Act requires that a minimum academic and practical requirments be set to register with a controlling body. Click here for the minimum requirements of SAIT.
