Tariff amendment – Increase in general rate of customs duty on paper and paperboard

There has been an increase in the general rate of customs duty to 5% and 10% respectively on paper and paperboard classified in subheadings 4802.56.20 and 4802.56.90 - ITAC Report 482.

WHY REGISTER WITH SAIT?

Section 240A of the Tax Administration Act, 2011 (as amended) requires that all tax practitioners register with a recognized controlling body before 1 July 2013. It is a criminal offense to not register with both a recognized controlling body and SARS.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS TO REGISTER
