Q: My employer is a partnership, and the two partners have each their own tax practitioner numbers. We have one tax practitioner e-filing profile for the partnership, with all our clients. We’ve always used the one partner’s details for all the clients. However, each partner now wants to ensure that we only use their PR number when submitting returns for their clients.

Is it possible to have one tax practitioner e-filing profile and have 2 tax practitioners?

A: Yes you can have two practitioner numbers on one profile. You will need to login with the other practitioner's login and password and activate his login under Services and then delegate which users will submit under his profile by delegating Practitioner authority to each user that will be submitting under his PR number. If you have one staff member that submits for both practitioners you will need to create an additional login and password for the user and then delegate rights to the user under each PR number.
