I only do Paye & Vat - but find the CPD hours heavily geared to Income Tax returns and thus struggle to meet my hours

I agree with all these comments. I have more than enough CPD point for FPi, but to reach Sait's I need to write expensive "exam's" about things that is not part of my expertise. There is about no course about individual tax alone, and if so the cost is high, as we as professionals don't pay enough already.

I also only deal with individuals and do not intend to change and agree whole heartedly with Michael A Mc Master

I agree with Horst Schuster. I only deal with individuals and the only CPD that specialises in this field is the Wintax program. I have the full CPD time allocated to individual tax - why do I need to obtain CPD hours in fields that do not concern me? Ridiculous!

CPD provided are one size fits all orientated. I specialize in Individuals tax - hard to find the necessary CPD hours in this field

I find the CPD courses offered to be repetitive.

Section 240A of the Tax Administration Act, 2011 (as amended) requires that all tax practitioners register with a recognized controlling body before 1 July 2013. It is a criminal offense to not register with both a recognized controlling body and SARS.

The Act requires that a minimum academic and practical requirments be set to register with a controlling body. Click here for the minimum requirements of SAIT.
