A guide to fiscal (tax and investment) information for key countries (specifically, 35 countries) in Africa, including summaries of each country's key taxes (income tax, VAT (or sales tax) and other significant taxes) and investment incentives and exchange control regimes (if applicable).

This booklet contains a summary of tax and investment information pertaining to key countries in Africa. Details of 35 country's income tax, VAT (or sales tax), and other significant taxes are set out in the publication. In addition, investment incentives, exchange controls and key economic data.

WHY REGISTER WITH SAIT?

Section 240A of the Tax Administration Act, 2011 (as amended) requires that all tax practitioners register with a recognized controlling body before 1 July 2013. It is a criminal offense to not register with both a recognized controlling body and SARS.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS TO REGISTER

The Act requires that a minimum academic and practical requirments be set to register with a controlling body. Click here for the minimum requirements of SAIT.
