Call for comment: Draft rates and monetary amounts and amendment of 2015 Revenue Laws Bill

SARS released a draft on the amendments of the Revenue Laws Bill on the 25th of February 2015.

The Rates Bill gives effect to rates and monetary threshold changes pertaining to income tax, transfer duty, customs and excise duties announced by the Minister of Finance in the 2015 budget.

WHY REGISTER WITH SAIT?

Section 240A of the Tax Administration Act, 2011 (as amended) requires that all tax practitioners register with a recognized controlling body before 1 July 2013. It is a criminal offense to not register with both a recognized controlling body and SARS.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS TO REGISTER
