Amendments in the Customs and Excise Act on sugar and anti-dumping on certain chicken products

SARS has amended Part 1 of Schedule No. 1 and Part 1 of Schedule No. 2 of the Customs and Excise Act on the 26th of February 2015.

The amendment is in relation to an increase in the customs duty rate on sugar (notice R.173) and the final determination on anti-dumping on certain chicken products (notice R.126).

WHY REGISTER WITH SAIT?

Section 240A of the Tax Administration Act, 2011 (as amended) requires that all tax practitioners register with a recognized controlling body before 1 July 2013. It is a criminal offense to not register with both a recognized controlling body and SARS.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS TO REGISTER
