National Treasury and SARS have released a draft response document, which was presented to the Standing Committee on Finance (SCoF), regarding the 2015 draft Taxation Laws Amendment Bill (TLAB) and Draft Tax Administration Laws Amendment Bill (TALAB).
SARS and Treasury briefed the SCoF on 4 August 2015, while public comments to the Committee were presented at a hearing that was held on 16 September 2015.
The final report back to the Committee was on 15 October 2015.

Section 240A of the Tax Administration Act, 2011 (as amended) requires that all tax practitioners register with a recognized controlling body before 1 July 2013. It is a criminal offense to not register with both a recognized controlling body and SARS.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS TO REGISTER
