Termination of anti-dumping duties on solar glass

SARS has issued an amendment to the Customs and Excise Act regarding the termination of anti-dumping duties on solar glass originating in or imported from the People’s Republic of China and India.  The implementation date will take retrospective effect from 25 March 2015.

In terms of section 56 of the Customs and Excise Act, 1964, Part 1 of Schedule No. 2 to the said Act is hereby amended to the extent set out in the Schedule (6 November 2015).


WHY REGISTER WITH SAIT?

Section 240A of the Tax Administration Act, 2011 (as amended) requires that all tax practitioners register with a recognized controlling body before 1 July 2013. It is a criminal offense to not register with both a recognized controlling body and SARS.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS TO REGISTER
