National Treasury has released an invitation to taxpayers, tax practitioners and members of the public to submit proposals for possible inclusion in Annexure C of the 2016 Budget Review as part of the 2016 Budget Review. Annexure C proposals should be submitted by no later than 30 November 2015. To facilitate the review process, workshops are planned on8 and 9 December 2015 to clarify issues raised in the written submissions and assist in the prioritisation of issues.
Section 240A of the Tax Administration Act, 2011 (as amended) requires that all tax practitioners register with a recognized controlling body before 1 July 2013. It is a criminal offense to not register with both a recognized controlling body and SARS.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS TO REGISTER
