21 November 2015 is the last Saturday when 25 SARS branch offices will extend working hours in anticipation of an increase in the number of taxpayers who require assistance with filing their returns.Offices will be open from 8am – 1pm and taxpayers are reminded that only issues relating to tax return submissions will be dealt with.

Section 240A of the Tax Administration Act, 2011 (as amended) requires that all tax practitioners register with a recognized controlling body before 1 July 2013. It is a criminal offense to not register with both a recognized controlling body and SARS.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS TO REGISTER
