Global Tax Policy Conference 2016 - Dublin

The second Global Tax Policy Conference in association with Harvard Kennedy School will take place in Dublin Castle from 9-11 March 2016, and SAIT will be attending to support this important event. Titled ‘New Rules for a New Era’, the conference comes at a critical juncture in the implementation of a new global tax framework and will look at the impact of new rules on countries and companies. 

Some of the esteemed speakers include:

  • Prof. Brian Arnold, Senior Adviser, Canadian Tax Foundation, Canada
  • John Connors, Group Tax Director, Vodafone Group plc, UK
  • Sean Foley, Leader of Global Transfer Pricing Services (GTPS) KPMG, USA

  • Niall Cody, Chairman, Office of the Revenue Commissioners,  Ireland

The Conference will be of interest to those concerned with the formulation of tax policy – this would include policy makers, officials from Treasury and SARS, tax practitioners, academics, fiscal economists, corporate heads of tax/policy etc.

Section 240A of the Tax Administration Act, 2011 (as amended) requires that all tax practitioners register with a recognized controlling body before 1 July 2013. It is a criminal offense to not register with both a recognized controlling body and SARS.
