is upon us and it vital contribution to our country’s tax system. It represents
the single biggest engagement between SARS and taxpayers, when more than 4
million taxpayers submit their income tax returns. To ensure taxpayers are
prepared, SARS has some helpful information to make Tax Season even easier.
Taxpayers are once again encouraged to use SARS eFiling to submit their tax
returns as it is the quickest and easiest way to submit a return.

Section 240A of the Tax Administration Act, 2011 (as amended) requires that all tax practitioners register with a recognized controlling body before 1 July 2013. It is a criminal offense to not register with both a recognized controlling body and SARS.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS TO REGISTER
