Employer Reconciliation deadline approaching - 31 October 2011

The deadline of 31 October 2011 for the submission of the interim Employer PAYE reconciliation declarations for the transaction period 1 March to 31 August is fast approaching! Employers are reminded that blank Employer PAYE reconciliation forms, for manual submission, are no longer available at SARS branches. Reconciliation forms must be requested and they will then be posted to you and may take up to two weeks to arrive. These forms are also available for electronic completion and submission on e@syFile™ Employer.

Section 240A of the Tax Administration Act, 2011 (as amended) requires that all tax practitioners register with a recognized controlling body before 1 July 2013. It is a criminal offense to not register with both a recognized controlling body and SARS.
