Interpretation Note No. 20 (Issue 3): Section 12H of the ITA - Learnership Allowance

This note provides clarity regarding the interpretation and application of the provisions of section 12H that relate to the deduction of the learnership allowance for the entering into or completion of a registered learnership agreement. This Note has been updated to include the amendments to section 12H effected by section 25 of the Revenue Laws Amendment Act, No. 60 of 2008. The Note will again be updated to include the amendments effected by Section 23 of the Taxation Laws Amendment Act, No. 17 of 2009.
