The SA Institute of Tax Professionals is a member-focused controlling body of tax practitioners / professionals in South Africa.

As responsive organisation, dedicated to anticipating and providing solutions to our members' needs, we always welcome feedback to ensure our services remain of the highest quality and continue to be relevant to the tax profession.

  3. Reciprocal affiliate membership with the UK, Canada, Australia, US, Nigeria, Netherlands and Ireland allow the SAIT member induction benefits of the visiting country. 



Section 240A of the Tax Administration Act, 2011 (as amended) requires that all tax practitioners register with a recognized controlling body before 1 July 2013. It is a criminal offense to not register with both a recognized controlling body and SARS.


The Act requires that a minimum academic and practical requirments be set to register with a controlling body. Click here for the minimum requirements of SAIT.
