How to use the new site

We would like to help you get the most out of the new site. If you are signing in for the first time as "member", please read and follow the instructions below carefully. OR if it's been a while since you signed in, maybe you forgot the details. Here's help for you....

Below are some of the site tutorials on key features you will benefit from:

NOTE: You would have received an email with your username. Please ensure you received that email and the username therein. Contact us if you need to receive it again. Or, you will be allowed to use your registered email to reset your password. Follow the instruction below:


Step 1. The first time you sign in OR you forgot your password:  On the right rail of the home page, click on the "Forgot your password" in the green shaded sign in box. see screen shot below.

Step 2. Once you clicked on "forgot your password" the screen below will appear. Enter your username or email. Enter the validation code. Press Reset Password. Thereafter, receive an email with link to re-set your password. 

Step 3. Go to your email inbox. See example email content below. Click on the link in email that says "reset my password now"

Step 4. Once you click on the email link as above, from your email, you will then be redirected to the site where the password reset screen will appear: see screenshot below:

Now you are ready to access all member areas of the site. Important - access your profile and update your personal info

Tip 1. Access and Manage your online member profile. Your profile will provide you with features to connect with other members, manage your CV, CPD, membership, and networking, as well as online file libraries. You can even build your own website pages in your profile, and create a unique URL. Play around and see all the wonderful new features. The screen shot below will help you get started, once you are signed in




Tip 2. Advanced profile management. You can manage your public social networks, manage subscriptions, feeds, RSS links, manage site content favorites,create connections/categories, manage your CV, manage documents and much more from the manage profile tab. See the screenshot below to help you.

  • Pay membership dues online via credit card or bill me options.
  • View payment transaction history in your profile. 
  • Manage member referrals and get rewarded
  • Manage CV and career postings
  • Upload and manage your personal file library
  • Manage your own blogs and forums
  • Form and Join groups
  • Register online and pay for events
  • Stay informed of Tax news and alerts that affect you


Section 240A of the Tax Administration Act, 2011 (as amended) requires that all tax practitioners register with a recognized controlling body before 1 July 2013. It is a criminal offense to not register with both a recognized controlling body and SARS.


The Act requires that a minimum academic and practical requirments be set to register with a controlling body. Click here for the minimum requirements of SAIT.
