Overview
Filing season is around the corner. This means that taxpayers will soon be required to submit their tax returns and tax practitioners will have the opportunity to test the limits of their capacity. But, with SARS accepting less and less returns without some form of query/intervention, it also means tax practitioners and taxpayers should brace themselves for SARS audits, verifications and disputes.
In this two-series webinar, the team from Unicus Tax Specialists SA will be discussing:
- When SARS can select a taxpayer for audit
- How to approach and respond to a SARS audit/verification/request for relevant material
- A taxpayer’s rights during audit prior to SARS raising an assessment
- How to use the audit/verification process to minimise issues in dispute
- A refresher of the dispute resolution rules
