OECD publishes comments received on the Tax Challenges of the Digital Economy

On 22 November 2013, a request for input on the tax challenges of the digital economy was published on the OECD website, with a deadline of 22 December 2013.

The OECD is grateful to the commentators for their input which will be discussed by delegates to the Task Force on the Digital Economy at its February 2014 meeting.

Section 240A of the Tax Administration Act, 2011 (as amended) requires that all tax practitioners register with a recognized controlling body before 1 July 2013. It is a criminal offense to not register with both a recognized controlling body and SARS.
