SAIT National Tax Student Conferences 2015

SAIT will be hosting its 3rd Annual Student Conference in Gauteng and the Western Cape. The event will coincide with SAIT’s 2nd Tax Amazing Race which will be held on the same day as the conference. The Tax Amazing Race will yet again be based on the “Amazing Race” television show where contestants strive to arrive first at “Pit stops”. The Event!
The National Student Tax Conference (morning sessions) in both JHB and Cape Town are filled with insightful talks from representatives in the tax industry. To motivate our students, a motivational speaker will also be at the event to inspire students to have vision for their life and career, regardless how negative things might seem.

The Tax Amazing Race (afternoon session) the honours students will participate in teams of 8 – 10 students per team, in a race against time, customized with tax related content. Third year students will act as a support base for honours students partaking in the race by providing “phone a friend” style assistance and by cheering on their team in the race. Various activities will be performed at Ratanga Junction and Gold Reef City.

SAIT National Tax Student Conferences 2014

During February, we had a great time with taxation students at the SAIT Tax Student Conferences in Cape Town and Johannesburg. It was days filled with insightful talks by top professional from EY, KPMG, Deloitte and PwC.

Hein Wagner inspired us all with his message on the importance of having a vision for your life and cultivating a positive perception regardless of how negative things may seem. As you continue your studies throughout the year, we hope that you will incorporate the laws of appreciation, respect and time into your day-to-day life.

The Tax Amazing Race was truly amazing! It was great to see all of the team spirit on the day. Engaging with tax puzzles while completing a series of fun challenges at Ratanga Junction and Gold Reef City Theme Park proved to be  a great way of spending the afternoon.
